Shelby American puts some of its Mustang magic into the 2024 F-150. More power and other upgrades aim to create a performance alternative that takes the Shelby formula to the trail and the job site.
Shelby is continuing to offer truck buyers more performance with the 2024 Shelby F-150
Shelby American may be better known for its wild Ford Mustang-based creations, but the firm has also had a presence in the performance truck market with the Las Vegas-based firm building a solid reputation for turning F-150 models into performance trucks that share just as much luster as models like the Ford Mustang GT500.
This includes the 2024 Shelby F-150 which continues to provide buyers a truck that’s not only capable of burning rubber on the street or the trail, but also stand out when it’s taken to the job site
Shelby F-150 brings more power to the masses
The Shelby F-150 starts out as a Lariat model but its supercharged 785 hp V8 makes more power than a Ford F-150 Raptor R.
The 2024 Shelby F-150 is based on a standard F-150 Lariat 4×4 SuperCrew but Shelby engineers added a bright blue supercharger to the 5.0-liter Coyote V8 which causes horsepower to swell all the way to 785 hp and 685 lb-ft of torque when the truck is fueled with 93 octane fuel. These figures are not only higher than the Shelby version of the F-150 Raptor but also beat the 720 horsepower Ford F-150 Raptor R and its supercharged 5.2-liter V8. Buyers looking for less insanity under the hood can also go for a naturally aspirated version of the truck if they choose to do so.
In addition to the beefed-up engine hardware, Shelby also gave the truck a three-inch BDS suspension lift that allowed them to add Fox 2.5 internal bypass shock dampers and rear traction bars. Rock rails help protect the power-operated running boards from damage and a Borla cat-back exhaust system provides an enhanced soundtrack to match the upgraded performance. The exterior of the truck gets a custom dual-intake hood, wider wheel flares, and 22-inch wheels which are shod with 35-inch all-terrain tires.
The interior is largely carried over from the Lariat and gets many of the updates that made their debut on the standard F-150 model but the leather seats get Shelby emblems and a snake-skin quilted pattern for a distinct look. Carbon fiber trim is also included and the pedals have been swapped out for sportier aluminum ones.

Limited production
Shelby is limiting production to 800 examples for the 2024 model year so get it while you can.
Rarity has often come hand in hand with many performance offerings and the 2024 Shelby F-150 is no different with the firm confirming that it will only build 800 of these rigs for the 2024 model year. The base naturally aspirated model will start at $130,000 while the supercharged version increases the cost of admission to $139,995 with both of these figures coming before any optional extras are added in. Both versions also come with a 3-year or 36,000 mile warranty to help give owners security if they need to take their vehicle in for service.
