Ram, Stellantis’ truck unit, rolled out its 2025 model year light-duty pickups earlier this year, putting its 2500 and 3500 offerings on hold — until now. While not a full release, the company’s providing an early look at the portfolio before its full reveal sometime next months.
The company’s reportedly putting the big boys through their final paces before unleashing them on the world “at a later date,” according to officials.
“As we approach the reveal of our 2025 Ram Heavy Duty, the engineering teams are conducting final testing on one of the most important performance attributes of our heavy haulers: cooling,” the company noted in a email.
“As the trucks will be running loose in the wild, with the camouflage removed, we wanted to share some quality exterior images with you rather than a badly lit snapshot out the window at 70 miles per hour.”
HD models
The company offered a look at the new 2025 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel, the HD and the Chassis Cab as well as full shots of the HD Rebel model.
The early shots show some slight tweaks to the massive front grille, but nothing revolutionary. The headlamps appear to get a bit of a makeover as well, but the super cool air scoop on the hood remains.
While powertrain options weren’t made available, the badging on the side of the 2025 Heavy Duty Rebel shows a Cummins diesel remains available for 2025. It’s likely a carryover from last year, where buyers could opt for the 6.7-liter Cummins Standard-Output Turbo Diesel I-6 engine that produces 370 horsepower and 850 lb.-ft. of torque with a powerband that provides ample torque starting at 1,700 rpm.
The 68RFE 6-speed automatic transmission is standard with the turbo diesel option. The standard 6.4-liter Hemi V-8 with cylinder deactivation and VCT provides 410 hp and 429 lb.-ft. of torque and is paired with the 8HP75 8-speed automatic transmission.

No Power Wagon
The pictures didn’t offer a view of a new version of the 2500 Power Wagon, although it seems unlikely that’s headed for the scrap heap. The 2024 model is the “ultimate off-road heavy-duty truck,” according to Ram.
“The granddaddy of them all, dating back to 1945, Power Wagon’s heritage holds a distinctive position in the Ram Truck lineup as an example of engineering innovation and off-road capability,” the company said.
It also nets the automaker a big pay day with prices starting at $70,465, including the destination charge. The 2500 Ram Heavy Duty Rebel comes in with a slightly higher price tag at $70,960, including the destination charge.
The company didn’t clarify when it would offer final details on its 2025 heavy duty lineup.
