Fiat taps iconic fashion brand Giorgio Armani to create special edition 500e
Fiat has always been known for being in touch with fashion and style trends with recent collaborations with Italian design houses for some of its special edition models being a small sample of this in action. Fiat has decided to not only continue this trend, but also up the ante a bit with the 2025 Giorgio Armani Edition 500e.
Stylish design focuses on the finer 500e details
Like other special edition 500e models, the Armani’s core design elements don’t change too much and on the surface it’s largely carried over from the 500e. However, Fiat designers chose to focus on the finer details with all Armani’s getting a monochromatic look that’s highlighted by two colors: Green and a special blend of beige and grey called “Greige.” However, the most striking (and perhaps controversial feature) on the Armani Edition will be the custom 17-inch wheels which were made to resemble the Giorgio Armani emblem. A subtle 3D surfacing treatment helps enhance aerodynamics and a two-tone anodized finish gives them enough pop to stand out from the sea of commuter traffic.
“The Fiat 500e Giorgio Armani Collector’s Edition represents the finest expression of Italian design, bringing together two legendary icons in the Fiat Cinquecento and Giorgio Armani,” said Aamir Ahmed, head of FIAT brand North America. “Featuring Armani’s unparalleled design influence, including two bespoke color combinations and high-end touches befitting an Armani fashion collection, not to mention the artistry instilled by the FIAT Centro Stile design team, the 500e Giorgio Armani Collector’s Edition epitomizes the exceptionality of Italian design and craftsmanship.”
The interior also gets its fair share of upgrades and shares inspiration with fashion and the Armani/Casa collection. The dashboard insert is exclusive to this model and is supposed to replicate a woodgrain appearance while the front seats get special Chevron stitching and three-dimensional patterns that are meant to duplicate intricate tailoring techniques. Giorgio Armani’s signature mark is also a persistent presence in the interior with the mark making its appearance on the dashboard, interior door panels, and the rear window.
The model even gets the 500e’s seven-speaker JBL audio system with the stereo getting four Virtual Venues handpicked by Maestro Andrea Bocelli with the system being part of the large 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. All Giorgio Armani models are powered by a single 117 hp electric motor which is paired with a 42-kWh battery pack which allows the GA to get 149 miles on a single charge.

Giorgio Armani Edition comes as the brand is struggling with sales
The appearance of the Giorgio Armani Edition 500e comes as Fiat is struggling to move the 500es it already has off of their lots. Sales have been sluggish and a growing number of dealerships have become frustrated with not only the model itself but also at Stellantis with some of them having to resort to special discounts to get the stylish hatchback off of their lots. These discounts have so far not done much to move inventory with Fiat confirming it only sold a mere 439 units in the United States since its launch earlier this year with that figure boosted by another 381 units if the Canadian market is included.
These sluggish sales have not only forced Fiat to do price cuts on the model, but to also halt production at the 500e’s Mirafiori plant in Turin, Italy to accommodate the slowing demand. Fiat is hoping that the Giorgio Armani Edition will resonate well with trendy EV buyers but expect the pricing to command a sizable premium when compared to a base 500e.
