That popular burger chain isn’t the only place you can “have it your own way.” Dodge says buyers ordering the 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak SUV will have the ability to choose from a boggling 6 million different build combinations. One thing they’ll all have in common, though: a 710-horsepower Hemi V-8. More from Headlight.News.
“We’ve always been a brand about doing things our way,” Dodge CEO Matt McAlear said during a recent media backgrounder briefing. “So, why shouldn’t customers have the same opportunity?”
The automaker is determined to prove those are more than idle words with the debut of the 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak edition. Seldom, if ever, have buyers had more potential boxes to check. So many that the Stellantis performance brand estimates there are more than 6 million build combinations.
That covers everything from exterior paint and interior trim to stripes, wheel colors and even the four unique shades available for the Durango Jailbreak’s Brembo brakes.
One thing in common
That said, there’s one choice Dodge has already made: all versions of the Jailbreak package will come with the iconic Hemi V-8, here in Hellcat configuration.
That might take some folks by surprise considering Dodge, like sibling brands Jeep and Ram, had intended to phase out the big engine. It was originally scheduled to end production last December but there was so much demand that, unlike Ram, Dodge kept production going – and McAlear says there’s no end in sight at this point.
Credit – or blame, if you prefer – the Trump administration’s decision to stop fining automakers who fall short of federal mileage standards. The White House, in fact, is backing off from the aggressive fuel economy targets set in place by the Biden administration. So, expect to see more emphasis on performance from all Stellantis brands, according to the company’s global powertrain chief, Mickey Bly, Headlight.News reported on Thursday.
Hemi power
The Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak package will come with one of the most potent versions of the Hemi we’ve seen, the 6.2-liter supercharged monster punching out 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
We’ll have to wait for final stats, but the old Durango Hellcat was routinely hitting 0-60 launch times in around 3.5 seconds, while blasting through the quarter-mile traps in less than 12 seconds. What may matter more for the typical SUV buyer: a towing capacity of 8,700 pounds.
There is a downside: an EPA-rated 13 mpg combined fuel economy – a number which, based on reviews and owner forums, is a bit generous.

What are the options

The 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak edition will make 710 hp and is expected to hit 60 in barely 3.5 seconds.
To start with, buyers can choose between 5-, 6- or 7-seat configurations with the Durango. And there are the usual range of options, such as a power sunroof and audio system upgrade. But then the fun begins with:
- Six different wheel options, fitted with a choice of four unique Brembo brake colors;
- Six exterior colors options, including new-for-2026 Green Machine;
- Six exterior badge color choices;
- Five exterior dual-stripe designs and all-new Gloss Black-painted hood;
- Five interior seat colors and four seat belt colors.
Pricing and availability
The 2026 Dodge Durango SRT Hellcat Jailbreak edition will land in U.S. showrooms later this year.
The automaker plans to begin taking order on August 13 and said it will announce pricing shortly before then. Considering all the options, however, that could cover a rather wide spectrum, some packages going for well above the SUV’s base MSRP.
