The luxury SUV market remains hot and highly competitive. This means there are plenty of compelling options in the segment, which is fantastic because luxury SUVs are among my favorite vehicles to drive — perhaps my most favorite. After a week with the all-new Infiniti QX60, nothing has changed when it comes to my preferences.
Why are they my favorite? It could be because I’m the target consumer or my father passed down a love of big luxury sedans. But if you make a ute that features massaging seats, I want to drive it.
On the outside
The 2026 Infiniti QX60 Autograph I tested came in Emerald Green with a Stone Gray interior and came away … pleased.
On the outside, the QX60 is the smaller twin of the QX80, and that’s a good thing. It’s attractive with sculpted body panels that are distinct, but not outrageous. It clearly remains within Infiniti’s Artistry in Motion design ethos.
Power trip
And that motion comes from a 2-liter 4-cylinder engine putting out 268 horsepower. It features a 9-speed automatic transmission with all-wheel drive. The combination achieves an EPA-recognized 24 mpg combined.
Infiniti officials say they tweaked the engine to cater to the wants of buyers. And while it provided plenty of power and good fuel economy, it’s a wheezy, whiny beast. It’s very noticeable at first, but then just becomes … acceptable. To be fair, our tester was a pre-production vehicle, so the final iteration may resolve this issue.
It’s a reasonably good performer, and it goes where you aim it. The ride is soft, but not floaty. That said, sport mode tightens things up a bit, but it’s nothing to write home about.
Tech talk

There’s a clear focus on usable technology, starting with the 12.3-inch touchscreen that is on par within its class.
Moving into the spacious and airy cabin, there’s a clear focus on usable technology. That begins with a 12.3-inch touchscreen that is on par with others in its class. It also offers a large 10.9-inch headup display that is crisp and easy to see, which is not always the case.
Our model came with a Klipsch Reference Premier system with 20 speakers. It’s a top-flight setup that makes Christmas carols or podcasts sound fantastic. The Autograph the sound system allows allows the driver to take calls hands-free without interrupting what the rest of the cabin is listening to, which is pretty cool.
Cabin pressure

The QX60 offers plenty of room in comfortable leather seats, which can massage front-seat passengers.
The three-row QX60 offers plenty of room in very comfortable leather seats, which in the Autograph provide massages for front-seat passengers. They’re also heated and ventilated in front and heated in the second row.
The third row is handy in a pinch, but no one over the age of 10 will be comfortable back there for any length of time. Of course, it comes with the requisite tech niceties as well as safety and driver assistance systems.
Would I?
The bottom line is the new 2026 QX60 is an upgrade from last year’s model. However, I’ve driven its larger sibling with which it now shares its exterior design, and while I enjoyed QX80, I felt it was overpriced.
Fortunately, maxed out at about $72-grand, they didn’t make the same mistake twice. If I were in the market, I’d give it a look.
