Jeep begins preparations for Easter Jeep Safari with new teaser sketches. V8 power and heritage are shaping up to be prominent themes for this year’s crop of off-road concepts.
Willys Easter Safari concept will get slick green paint job and channel Jeep’s heritage to win over loyalists.Spring is just around the corner and that means it’s also time for Jeep’s annual Easter Jeep Safari event.
This large Jeep gathering in Moab Utah is always a mecca for Jeep’s most dedicated fans and the brand always has some cool concepts to show them.
This year is no different and the brand is once again bringing a new crop of custom off-road rigs for the masses there to enjoy.
Teaser sketches promote Jeep heritage and style
Jeep has an established habit of slowly releasing teasers of its upcoming Easter Safari creations and that tradition continues in earnest with this latest crop of concepts. The sketches Jeep released focus on two of them but it’s clear that the brand is betting heavily on heritage and bold colors for the latest crop of concepts.
The first concept has the “Willy X” moniker pressed into the front fender and the background of the image even incorporates a vintage advertisement that introduced the original Willys Jeep to consumers in the 1940s.
This concept also has a nice shade of green paint as well as knobby off-road tires to help it crawl over difficult obstacles but we have to wait until later to see the rest of the details.
The second concept Jeep previewed does a better job hiding the essential details from sight though it does sport a two-tone red and white color scheme. The lone exception is the 392 badge in the white portion of the sketch which boldly proclaims that this rig will be based on Jeep’s Wrangler 392 model.
As a result, look for this concept to have that model’s core DNA but with tweaks to the suspension and bigger tires to help it stand out from its slightly more mainstream production counterpart.

Will heritage and style help Jeep turn its sales around?
The appearance of these Easter Safari concepts will come at a key time for Jeep with the brand facing declining sales and some buyers leaving their products for rivals like the Ford Bronco and the Land Rover Defender.
The Bronco in particular has proven to be a thorn in Jeep’s side, especially in the vehicle accessories market where the brand dominated before the Bronco started eating into its sales share.
As a result, look for the current crop of concepts to be visual reminders of Jeep’s core pillars while also showing customers why they should stay loyal to the brand especially if any of them are previewing advanced technology or new accessories that could eventually make their way to production models.
This will be crucial in the next few years as the brand prepares to accelerate its plans for electrification with hybrids and BEV entries playing a more prominent role in the company’s long-term sales plans.
Strong customer loyalty and retention will make or break these efforts with upcoming models like the Jeep Wagoneer S and Jeep Recon needing all the sales they can to help entrench themselves in the broader vehicle market.
Jeep will be releasing more teaser images over the next few weeks, and we look forward to seeing what else the brand has up its sleeve for the 2024 Easter Jeep Safari which is scheduled to take place from March 23 – 31.
