Hyundai unveils revamped 2026 Palisade as the Korean car giant prepares to take aging SUV into the future with new styling and technology.
The Hyundai Palisade has become a popular full-size SUV for buyers who want a new level of comfort and technology in their family vehicle purchase. The current generation Palisade certainly has plenty of tools at its disposal, but it’s no secret that the SUV is also starting to show its age in terms of styling, performance, and interior amenities.
Hyundai is preparing to resolve all of these issues with the 2026 Palisade which will bring a new styling language to the SUV while the interior also gets completely overhauled to meet the growing expectations of customers. The new Palisade will also enter at a time when Hyundai is preparing to expand its hybrid reach in multiple vehicle segments and the Palisade will be a key cog in these plans.
New styling pushes Palisade upmarket
A major change that many observers will notice is the new exterior styling that will be making its debut on the 2026 Paliadade. The front end gets completely revamped with a new front grille that not only features illuminated accents, but it’s also complimented by segmented LED headlights on both ends. The lights appear to be split in two with the larger rectangles being the running lights while four smaller ones beside them are presumably the headlights themselves. The pixel look is no accident either with the new styling allowing the Palisade to be better in line with the company’s EVs in the design front.
The rear of the SUV gets segmented taillights that have a more aggressive design and appear to have a slight whiff of Land Rover to them with the way they flow down the outer edges of the liftgate. A reworked rear bumper and large 21-inch wheels are also included in the updates and it’s clear that Hyundai is trying to get buyers to take the Palisade more seriously. The interior has also been redone with the cabin now featuring two 12.3-inch digital screens and a reworked layout for the audio and climate controls. A new steering wheel is also along for the ride and the shifter has been moved from the center console to the steering column a trend that we have also seen in other Hyundais as of late.

South Korea gets first dibs
For now, the 2026 Hyundai Palisade will be exclusive to the South Korean market a long-running practice that has often been the case for countless other Hyundai and Kia models over the years. It’s not known what engine the 2026 model will get with prior models being powered solely by a naturally aspirated 3.8 liter V6. This might finally change for 2026 with rumors suggesting that the 2026 Palisade will get an optional hybrid powertrain as the company attempts to expand its presence in the hybrid vehicle market. A hybrid-equipped Palisade would help bring the technology to family buyers and potentially allow Hyundai to create a steady stream of profit in the process.
The company will gradually expand distribution after the SUV becomes entrenched in Korea with imports into the U.S. slated to begin in the first half of next year. Pricing was also not announced either but look for the model to retain some of the baked-in value that the Palisade has become known for with lower trim levels benefitting the most from this strategy.
