Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 brings insane performance to the supercar market but buyers looking to experience it for themselves will have to have the cash to match with a base model starting at $174,995 before options and fees are factored in.

The 2025 Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 will not only have the performance to go up against supercar rivals but the pricing to match.
When Chevrolet debuted the 2025 Corvette ZR1, it was safe to assume that the model would have a healthy premium over the previous king of performance the Z06. Z06 models started at $112,100 and made 670 horsepower from a 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V8. That horsepower figure is nothing to sneeze at but the ZR1 represents the true pinnacle of Vette performance.
These models make 1,04 hp and are equipped with a twin-turbocharged version of the 5.5-liter. The ZR1 was designed to take on the best supercars from Italy, Europe, and Germany but the question of how much you had to pay for this level of performance remained unanswered. Chevrolet decided to finally answer that question and confirmed that a base ZR1 will start at $174,995 before taxes and fees are added in.
Two flavors of ZR1 performance
Like the Z06 before it, the Corvette ZR1 will allow buyers to choose from two body styles with a coupe or a convertible being available. The coupe is the cheapest way to start out with the hardtop convertible getting a slightly higher base sticker of $184,995. The trim ladder is split in two with the 1LZ serving as the base trim but buyers looking for more equipment will have to move up to the 3LZ which gets better leather seats, more cameras, and a fully digital 12.0-inch digital instrument cluster. The 3LZ trim is also where the price goes up with the coupe starting at over $185,000 while the convertible bumps the asking price up to $195,995 which causes the droptop to be just under $200,000.
However, optional extras will play a vital part in the buying experience and just like some of the bespoke rivals Chevrolet is targeting, the ZR1 will have a massive pool of optional extras to help buyers make their ZR1 a unique expression of their personality. They include the most expensive item on the list a set of staggered 20 and 21-inch carbon fiber wheels which cost $13,995. These wheels help cut weight and local dealerships we spoke with confirmed that they will be specially transported to ensure they don’t get damaged enroute by the elements. The Carbon Fiber Aero package is $8,495 but is the package that adds the large rear wing, front dive planes, and hood spoiler that you might have seen in some of Chervolet’s promotional material. Other goodies include a fully carbon fiber $4,995 interior and minor trim and color changes. Buyers looking for a unique delivery experience can go for the “Museum Delivery” package with buyers picking up their car at the Corvette Museum in Kentucky.

ZR1 is still a supercar bargain and a win for dealers

This pricing is still a bargain and dealerships will win big in the long run due to the ZR1’s halo status.
If a buyer were to go all in on options, they would end up with a Vette that costs over $240,000 depending on the body style involved. But while that might seem like alot of money at first glance, this is actually still a bargain when compared to other supercars currently on the market. The Ford Mustang GTD is expected to start at $325,000 while a comparable Porsche 911 GT3 RS starts at $224,495 before you dive head first into its own bespoke list of optional extras.
While these figures will also ensure that only the wealthiest of buyers will ever get a ZR1 for themselves, dealerships will still win in the long run. Like other halo models, the Corvette ZR1’s secondary mission in life is to draw in as many buyers as possible when not setting lap records and while some of them will go towards a Corvette lower in the trim ladder. Others will move into other models in Chevrolet’s lineup including more functional offerings like the Chevrolet Traverse or Equinox which helps give those vehicles extra sales after taking a moment to look at a ZR1 placed in the showroom.
