Ram is the latest automaker to embrace the dark side of the moon with the 2024 Ram 2500 Power Wagon and Rebel Lunar Edition. Special edition will help the truck hold down the fort as the brand puts the final touches on the updated Ram HD lineup.

The 2024 Ram Heavy Duty has been an enduring presence in the pickup market and while it’s starting to show its age against the segment’s best when it comes to the art of hauling stuff, it’s still a viable option for those needing capability and a high amount of technology to make their commute more enjoyable.
With a recent trend of embracing lunar themes taking root in the automotive industry over the past few years, Ram has decided to jump in on the action with the 2024 Ram 2500 Lunar Edition for both the Power Wagon and the Rebel. These special editions follow the lead of other moon-themed models like the Hummer Edition 1 in giving buyers a stylish alternative to a standard 2500 model.
New color defines Lunar Edition
Ceramic Grey paint and styling changes are the full extent of updates that buyers will see if they want to buy a Lunar Edition.
As the phoned-in name implies, the Lunar Edition is built around a new paint color called Ceramic Grey with the color being paired with gloss black accents to help give it a unique look. That includes blacked-out wheels and graphics as well as body-colored badges while the equipment lineup gets enhanced slightly with all Lunar models getting towing mirrors and upgraded LED exterior lighting. The interior gets black accents with Surf Blue contrast stitching and faux carbon fiber trim.
You also get a special metal plaque in the center console denoting its otherworldly origins but buyers hoping for a more extensive suite of updates will not find it here with the core DNA otherwise being largely unchanged when viewed alongside other Ram 2500 models. That includes the performance hardware with the full lineup of powertrains carrying over largely unchanged. This follows the same script we have seen from other Stellantis special edition models over the years which tend to focus on styling versus offering anything of significance under the hood.

When can I buy one?
The Lunar Edition is also a sign that the brand is preparing to release the next generation Ram HD with special editions like this one holding buyers over until the brand is ready to release it.
The Lunar Edition is only available on the 2500 Rebel and Power Wagon with a base Power Wagon Lunar starting at $75,205 which gets you the 6.4-liter Hemi V8. Buyers looking for diesel power get to move to the Rebel which has a higher base sticker of $85,490. The Heavy Duties are slated to get the same updates as their 1500 counterparts and look for more of these special editions to emerge as Ram attempts to milk every last dollar out of the current truck before it’s replaced with the new one.
