The battle of the behemoths got even hotter this year with the launch of the Ram 1500 RHO. But there are always some folks who want to take things up another notch and add a unique level of customization. That’s precisely what Mopar has in mind with a special-edition take on the RHO that delivers an extensive array of special features, including a Crystal Pearl Coat paint job. Here’s a first look.
Every year we’re treated to a special-edition package from Mopar and it seems only right that, for 2025, the Stellantis parts and accessories division is taking on the 2025 Ram 1500 RHO. While that trim isn’t quite the replacement for the monstrous TRX that some had hoped for, RHO has the power and features to tackle even the toughest off-road environments.
But the limited-edition Mopar package takes things to a new level – for those who can cough up an extra $17,000.
“The inspiration for the new Mopar ’25 flows directly from the concept truck we showed at the SEMA Show last November, which generated strong positive feedback on how well the Ram 1500 RHO was ‘Moparized’ by our design team,” said Darren Bradshaw, senior vice president, Stellantis Parts and Services – North America. “We’re proud to continue our annual Mopar customization program with innovations and exclusive appearance features that our enthusiast customers and collectors crave.”
What’s old
Let’s start with a quick look at the “base” 2025 Ram 1500 RHO.
While not a replacement for the vaunted TRX, the new RHO is likely to more than satisfy most serious off-roaders who demand the latest off-road features and plenty of power. Indeed, at 540 horsepower and 521 pound-feet of torque, it overwhelms the Ford F-150 Raptor which “only” comes in at 450 hp and 510 lb-ft. RHO can hit 60 in a factory-estimated 4.6 seconds, a roughly one-second advantage. It’ll blast through the quarter-mile traps in 13.1 seconds at 105 mph, and has a top speed of 118 mph.
The stock RHO gets a more coke bottle-like shape than the stock Ram 1500. It sports wider wheel arches needed to house the new 18-inch beadlock-capable wheels. The truck also gets an added two inches of lift, yielding 11.6 inches of ground clearance.
RHO sports an independent front suspension with active damping, retuned spring rates and jounce bumpers. The truck is fitted with Bilstein Black Hawk e2 adaptive performance shocks and dual electronic proportional values with a nitrogen charged reservoir that helps keep the dampers cooler under hard driving conditions. The rear axle has up to 14 inches of rear travel, 40% more than the rest of the new Ram 1500 line-up.
What’s new
While Mopar isn’t doing anything to the twin-turbo RHO powertrain, there are plenty of other unique details coming from the Mopar package, starting with 18×9 beadlock-capable wheels shod with 35-inch rubber. The truck gets unique exterior graphics making use of the Mopar M logo. There’s a bed-mounted tire rock, a sports bar, off-road running board and more.
Inside: features like a 12-way power-adjustable sport seat with leather trim, massage function and memory settings. A color head-up display, along with a 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster, a 14.5-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.3-inch screen for the front passenger.
The truck-bed surface, Mopar noted, gets a rugged black, spray-in textured bedliner.
There’s also a serialized badge mounted on top of the center console storage bin making it clear that the truck is unique and built specifically for each buyer.
Add an 83-piece tool kit, four charging ports along with four USB cables.
