Infiniti Unveiling Trio of Vehicles During Monterey Car Week

by | August 12, 2025

Infiniti is using Monterey Car Week to show off what’s coming to its 2026 product lineup and what could be with a little bit of imagination. The three SUVs will be on display at The Quail for public viewing.

INFINITI previews future model range

Infiniti’s in the midst of a product renaissance, and it will show three vehicles, including the coming QX65 during Monterey Car Week.

Increasingly, automakers are using the prestigious Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance to drum up interest in vehicles set to arrive in the near future as well as what could be coming down the road – at least in theory.

The QX65 Monograph concept is the latest example of Infiniti’s Artistry in Motion design language. The brand says the new look blends “precise craftsmanship with sleek and seamless body forms.” It will be revealed Friday. It “provides strong hints to the future of Infiniti’s expanded model lineup.”

Speed and toughness

The other two vehicles are concepts based on the brand’s flagship SUV, the QX80. The QX80 Track Spec and QX80 Terrain Spec will show what’s possible when the ute’s design and componentry are taken to extremes.

A high-performance QX80 isn’t all that difficult to imagine with other luxury brands like Cadillac, Mercedes-Benz and BMW already offering performance variants of their largest SUVs. Conversely, the same is true when examining the QX80 Terrain Spec.

In addition to the QX65, Infiniti is showing two concepts, including the QX80 Track Spec in silhouette above.

The QX80 just received a major makeover last year. With a more squared-off body and major changes to the powertrain and interior, Infiniti appeared to be putting pressure on the long-standing leaders in the segment.

Like most full-size SUVs, the 2025 QX80 follows the trend of moving away from gas-thirsty V8s to more economical, but just-as-powerful turbocharged 6-cylinder engines. In this case, the QX80 relies on a new 3.5-liter twin-turbo V6 putting out 450 horsepower and 516 pound-feet of torque.

Complementing the new engine is a 9-speed automatic transmission which improves low end acceleration 27% and overdrive fuel economy 12% contributing to both responsive acceleration and efficient highway cruising. It’ll also two 8,500 pounds, which is best in its class.

INFINITI Terrain Spec Teaser

Infiniti’s QX80 Terrain Spec concept will show what an off-road-ready beast will look like.

Nissan’s luxury unit has appeared at The Quail in the past to show off vehicles that eventually made their way into dealer showrooms. In fact, it was the new QX80, which appeared in 2023 as the QX80 Monograph. It is little changed from the concept version of the full-size ute.

So, if history holds true, the QX65 Monograph coming to the show this year — which has been floating around in the background in other Infiniti product previews — appears to be on the fast track for showrooms as early as 2026.

Following its debut at The Quail, QX65 Monograph will be showcased on the Concept Lawn at Pebble Beach on Sunday, Aug. 17.
