Nissan continues to target value-minded buyers with the 2025 Nissan Kicks. Revamped Kicks gets updated exterior styling, new technology, and a revised pricing ladder as it attempts to stand out against a growing pool of compact crossover entries.
The 2025 Nissan Kicks is attempting to prove that cheap new vehicles are far from dead with the revamped CUV getting a bold redesign inside and out to help it stand out more from a growing pool of rivals that are all attempting to carve a slice of the compact CUV sales pie for themselves. Nissan kept pricing information close to the vest and didn’t reveal the figures when the Kicks originally made its debut.
That’s now changing, with the company confirming that the Kicks will still continue to be an affordable choice for budget-minded buyers with a base 2025 model starting at $21,830 before destination fees are added into the mix.
Kicks is still the affordable member of the Nissan utility family
It’s important to note that all Kicks models come with a mandatory $1,390 destination fee which causes the price to go up slightly to $23,220 for the base S model. Despite that little detail, the Kicks continues to be a well-priced CUV with the 2025 model’s pricing only going up by $490 when compared to the outgoing one. Part of this increase in price is due to Nissan giving buyers more standard equipment with the CUV now getting features such as Adaptive Cruise Control, LED exterior lighting, and a 7.0-inch infotainment system. Nissan’s Safety Shield 360 system is also standard and comes packed with several key safety features including High-Beam Assist, Automatic Emergency Braking, and more.
A bigger change for the 2025 model year is that all Kicks models can now be equipped with all-wheel drive and while the system does add $1,500 to $1,650 depending on trim level, it gives the CUV better all-weather capability and also allows it to be on par with other rivals that also have similar systems for buyers to enjoy. The $23,680 SV model is the mid-range model and it gets a bigger 12.3-inch infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto standard. The range-topping $26,180 SR model is the sportiest member of the family and these models get bigger 19-inch wheels, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and Nissan’s ProPilot driver assistance feature which is being equipped to the Kicks for the first time ever.

Kicks goes for the power play
In addition to the enhanced levels of equipment, the 2025 Kicks also offers more performance with all models being powered by a new 2.0-liter four-cylinder that makes 141 hp and 140 lb-ft of torque. The engine is mated to an updated CVT and it makes more power than the outgoing model. The 2.0-liter is attempting to help the Kicks be a better fit for younger buyers especially active ones that would take the Kicks out on a weekend adventure or even a long road trip. The SV and SR models get access to two optional premium packages which add $1,500 and $1,950 respectively to the price of an equipped SV or SR model.
The 2025 Nissan Kicks is on sale now.
