2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ Will Reportedly Have Flagship Pricing

The Cadillac Escalade IQ is shaping up to be a key player in the flagship luxury SUV segment with the brand hoping that the large SUV will be able to carve a slice of the market for itself while also pushing the brand into new territory. Pricing was rumored to be befitting of its flagship role and a new report appears to shine additional clarity on the matter.

A new report appears to shed new light on the Escalade IQ’s pricing structure.

The 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is preparing to bring Cadillac into the full-size EV SUV wars with the brand promising that the model will have a number of features that aim to make it stand out in a growing pool of contenders that are vying for the attention of well-heeled buyers. This includes an impressive array of futuristic standard equipment and the latest iteration of GM’s Ultium platform.

Pricing will naturally match the high levels of luxury the IQ will have but Cadillac has so far not strayed beyond the original $130,000 estimate that it released a short while ago when asked for formal numbers. A new report however appears to provide some clarity on the matter and indicates that Cadillac will be taking a calculated approach when it comes to creating the final pricing ladder for the model.

Escalade IQ split into four trim levels

The IQ will reportedly be available in four trim levels but pricing will be within GM’s original estimate.

According to the report which was published by GM Authority The Escalade IQ will be split into four trim levels: Luxury 1, Sport 1, Luxury 2, and the Sport 2. General Motors has not officially confirmed final pricing for the model yet but the report says that the base Luxury 1 trim will possibly start at $129,990 which would put the IQ over GM’s original estimate when taxes and fees are applied. That price is also more expensive than a range-topping Escalade ESV equipped with all-wheel drive. The Sport 1 trim adds blacked-out accents to the EV but its price tag isn’t that much more expensive with a base model starting at $130,490.

Things get pricier when you make your way to the Luxury 2 and Sport 2 with the report claiming that these models start at $149,990 and $150,490 respectively. This pricing is a noticeable step up when compared to the current ICE-powered Escalade lineup but look for that to not matter too much in the minds of well-heeled buyers who are willing to pay a premium to be the first to a trend and would perhaps be drawn in further by the IQ’s high levels of luxury and technology. This includes the massive 55-inch LED display, a 19-speaker AKG premium audio system, and GM’s Super Cruise system.

Performance will also be a strong selling point with the IQ’s Ultium hardware being tuned to produce 750 hp and 785 lb-ft of torque when the IQ is set to Velocity Max mode with these figures dipping slightly to 650 hp and 615 lb-ft of torque when the SUV is in its default driving mode. The enhanced muscle is also complimented with commendable range with Cadillac saying that the SUV can get up to 450 miles of range on a single charge.

When will the Escalade IQ come to dealerships?

Performance and technology will take center stage in the Escalade IQ with a 55-inch LED display coming standard.

Production of the 2025 Cadillac Escalade IQ is scheduled to take place this summer at GM’s Factory Zero plant in Hamtramck, MI with the rollout to dealerships beginning later this year. The launch will give Cadillac the opportunity to see how the IQ does in showrooms and there will be a period where both the EV and its ICE-powered counterpart will be sold alongside each other before the EV fully takes the sales reins.

The Escalade IQ will also be joined by several other IQ models including the smaller Vistiq as well as the entry-level Optiq with the trio sharing showroom space with the already-released Cadillac Lyriq.
